My Grandmother Dina Sharon (1925-2006) was born in Halbershtadt, Germany under the name of Alice Mischkowski.

At the age of 15 she immigrated to Israel alone.

In the 1940's she worked as a graphic designer in the sketching department of the British army and in the graphic company Aharony with her friend, Freidel Stern. In Aharony she has created the iconic character Ama, who starred in a long-remembered soap campaign.

A selection of her work can be found in the department of design and architecture in the Israel Museum, Jerusalm.
